The PI™ is a rating system addressing the many roles and responsibilities of a caretaker. The PI™ technique allows a mental health professional to make confident and multi-method based decisions when assessing an individual's capacity to serve as in the role of parent.

Tanya TaylorThe PI™ is designed by Dr. Robert Gordon and Dr. Leon Peek in collaboration with Dr. Tanya Taylor and consultation with the Board of Advisors of the Wilmington Institute Network (WIN).

An Interpretive Report is provided to the Mental Health Professional upon completion of the Parent Imaging™ Rating System. The report presents a document that serves as a reference and source of information detailing the techniques and evaluations used to assess parenting behaviors. The report also provides a Parent Imaging Profile™ which can be useful and effective when presenting results to Judicial Decision Makers.

The Parent Imaging™ Rating System includes 11 Factors. Each section explores a vital factor involved in competent parenting. The factors are based on the extensive parenting literature, pertinent case law, expert opinion, as well as empirical research compiled from a large sample of Family Law Judges, parent, and children on various ages.
